2013-1058 RESOLUTION NO. 2013 -1058 A Resolution Authorizing the City Manager to Proceed with the Sale of Properties Located at 313 N Pearl St, 321 E Court St, 266 Riverside, 459 S Ringold St, 324 W Racine St, 614 S Locust Street, and 223 S Academy St. WHEREAS, the City of Janesville owns the following described parcels: 313 N Pearl St- MITCHELL'S 2ND ADD. S1/2 NE1 /4 LOT 50 JC5603220 321 E Court St- ORIGINAL PLAT S. 85' LOT 1 BLK. 18 JC5804567 266 Riverside St- RIVERSIDE ADD. LOT 44 JC6208072 459 S Ringold St- CULLEN & AMERPOHL'S S.D. LOT 1 JC5905461 324 W Racine St- RAILROAD ADD PT LOT 10 -11; BND 1.35'W OF SE COR LOT 11; TH ALG NL W.RACINE ST TO SW COR; TH N ON WL LOTS 10 & 11 150.25'; TH S TO BGN BLK 3 JC6006224 614 S Locust St- PALMER & SUTHERLAND'S ADD S1/2 LOT 3 BLK.27 JC6107032 223 S Academy St- PALMER & SUTHERLAND'S ADD.LOT 5 EX.E.35' BLK.9 JC6006814; and WHEREAS, The Plan Commission reviewed the proposed future use of these properties during the acquisition reviews on 05/03/2012, 05/10/2010, 09/14/2011, 09/19/2012 and 11/05/2012; and WHEREAS, The City Council gave Neighborhood Services parameters for sales prices during a closed session meeting on August 26, 2013; and WHEREAS, The Offers to Purchase fell within those price parameters; and WHEREAS, The Offers to Purchase are as follows: 313 N Pearl St- $500.00 321 E Court St- $3500.00 266 Riverside St- $2750.00 459 S Ringold St- $8000.00 324 W Racine St- $300.00 614 S Locust St- $700.00 223 S Academy St- $1200.00; and WHEREAS, the sale of these surplus properties is in the best interest of and benefit to the City and community; and NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL of the City of Janesville that it hereby authorizes and directs the City Manager and the City Clerk to execute on behalf of the City of Janesville, the sale of such properties; and to negotiate and execute such documents, papers and forms as may from time to time be necessary and /or desirable to effectuate such transactions and the intent of this resolution as the City Manager may decide; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager is hereby authorized to take whatever other actions or to make whatever other changes that may be necessary to effectuate these land transactions.
