A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO APPLY FOR
A FEDERAL GRANT FROM THE STATE OF WISCONSIN FOR
MOSQUITO ABATEMENT
WHEREAS, the Wisconsin Division of Health is providing Federal funds to selected
Wisconsin communities to be used for mosquito abatement, and
WHEREAS, the Wisconsin Division of Health is offering the City of Janesville a 100%
grant in the amount of $9,205 for this purpose, and
WHEREAS, applying for and receiving these funds are in the best interest of the City of
Janesville.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Common Council of the City of
Janesville that they hereby authorize the City Manager, and/or his designee, to submit all
necessary applications to the the State of Wisconsin for such program participation, grants and
aids that may, from time to time, be available to the City, and to sign all necessary documents
and to take all such other action on behalf of the City as the City Manager deems necessary or
desirable to effectuate the intent of this resolution and such funding programs.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Manager and his designees are hereby
authorized to administratively take whatever other action and make whatever minor changes to
these transactions, deeds, and related documents on behalf of the City of Janesville, that the
City Manager may, from time to time, find necessary and/or desirable to effectuate the intent of
this resolution.
