RESOLUTION NO. 2002-273
A Resolution authorizing the City Manger to enter into a contract with Alliant Energy for
specific energy efficiency projects at several City facilities.
WHEREAS, the City of Janesville seeks to control energy related costs; and
WHEREAS, energy rates have continued to increase in recent years thereby increasing energy related
costs; and
WHEREAS, an Energy Task Force Committee has analyzed the City's energy use and identified
several projects which will reduce the City's use of energy; and
WHEREAS, Alliant Energy will provide funding for the cost of the projects; and
WHEREAS, the Common Council finds such projects in the best interest of the community.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Manager and his designee(s) on behalf of
the City of Janesville, is/are hereby authorized and empowered to negotiated, draft, modify, review,
and execute this contract, and enter into additional agreements, record, file and/or make minor
modifications and/or amendments to any and all documents, papers, forms, and agreements, and to
make whatever other actions as the City Manager may determine, from time to time and any time,
necessary and/or desirable to effectuate the intent of this resolution and/or project.
