2002-161ORDINANCE NO. 2002 - 161
An ordinance amending the City's No Smoking Ordinance so as to remove danesville police
officers and the County Health Department from the Ordinance's enumerated inspection and
enforcement responsibilities, with a penalty for violations as set forth in dGO 8. 75.130.
THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JANESVILLE DO ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. Section 8.75.110 A. of the Code of General Ordinances of the City of
Janesville is hereby amended to read as follows:
"8.75.110 Enforcement and Inspections. A. The City Code
Inspectors shall have the power whenever they deem it necessary to enter upon the premises of
the establishments regulated by this Chapter to inspect and ascertain compliance with the
requirements of this ordinance."
SECTION II. This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon adoption by the
Common Council, the public health, welfare, peace, tranquility, good order, public benefit, and
police power so requiring.
