2002-139ORDINANCE NO. 2002 - 139
An ordinance updating, renumbering, repealing and consolidating various danesville
alcohol ordinances into one chapter, with penalties and other relief for violations thereof
as set forth in the penalty provisions of revised Chapter 5.06
THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JANESVILLE DO ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. Section 5.06.210 of the Code of General Ordinances of the City of
Janesville is hereby renumbered Section 5.06.470 and amended to read as follows:
"5.06.470 Violation -- Penalty. A. Any person who violates any of the
provisions of this chapter for which a penalty is not otherwise provided shall upon
conviction thereof pay a forfeiture of not less than fifty dollars nor more than one
thousand dollars together with the costs and disbursements of the action. In default of
payment, the violator shall be imprisoned for not less than three nor more than sixty days,
or otherwise penalized by the court as provided by law.
B. The City, in addition to the above penalties, may suspend, revoke or not
renew any license granted pursuant to this chapter.
