2013-1014 RESOLUTION NO. 2013 -1014
Whereas, Suzanne Wellnitz is retiring from City of Janesville employment after
having diligently served the people of the City of Janesville and the community for twenty -eight
years; retiring as an Executive Secretary with the City of Janesville City Manager's Office; and
Whereas, Suzanne Wellnitz worked as a Clerk Typist in the Clerk- Treasurer's
Office and the Secretary for the Assistant City Manager /Director of Public Works before being
promoted to Executive Secretary in 1993; and
Whereas, Suzanne Wellnitz served as the first point of contact for more than 35
City Councilmembers during her twenty years in the City Manager's Office; and
Whereas, Suzanne's commitment to high standards; friendly and welcoming
demeanor and willingness to help with any task are attributes of her character that she
enthusiastically displayed with Councilmembers, customers and staff; and
Whereas, during Suzanne Wellnitz's employment with the City of Janesville, she
provided exemplary professional service and demonstrated conscientious devotion to the duties
of her position, which she performed with skill and ability, sincerity, honesty, and dedication; and
Whereas, it is desired that such commendable service to the City of Janesville
be properly recognized;
Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved that the people of the City of Janesville,
through the City Council, do express their grateful appreciation to Suzanne Wellnitz for her
twenty -eight years of loyal public service.
