2013-1008 Resolution No. 2013 -1008
A resolution authorizing the City Manager to enter into a lease with SSI Technologies,
Inc. at 1325 Plainfield Avenue for parking purposes.
WHEREAS, SSI Technologies, Inc. has requested permission to lease a portion of in part
surplus vacant land located at 1325 Plainfield Avenue from the City of Janesville for the
purpose of SSI employee parking; and
WHEREAS, the specific terms, payments, and conditions for such lease have been
negotiated by the City Administration and SSI Technologies, Inc., and set into a written
document called a Lease, a true and correct photocopy of which is attached hereto and
incorporated herein as a fully set forth verbatim; and
WHEREAS, such Lease and its terms and conditions are permitted by law and the Common
Council are empowered to enter into such Lease, pursuant to 62.11(5), 62.22, 62.23
(17)(b), and other applicable Wisconsin Statutes; and
WHEREAS, entering said Lease is in the best interest of the City of Janesville and of benefit
to the community and the surrounding area.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Common Council of the City of Janesville
that they hereby approve and authorize the City Manager to execute and enter into, on
behalf of the City of Janesville, the attached parking Lease of certain City land with SSI
Technologies, Inc.; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Manager is hereby authorized to negotiate and
execute such documents, papers, agreements and forms, to take whatever other actions,
and to make whatever minor changes to the Lease and such other documents, papers,
agreements, and forms as the City Manager may, from time to time, find necessary,
desirable, and /or beneficial to effectuate the Lease and /or the intent of this Resolution on
the City's behalf.
