RESOLUTION NO. 2013 -989
JURISDICTIONAL ACCEPTANCE OF VARIOUS ROAD SEGMENTS
CONSTRUCTED AS PART OF THE WIS 26 EXPRESSWAY EXPANSION
WHEREAS, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation has constructed WIS 26
Expressway Expansion under Construction Project 1390 -04 -81 for the good and in the
interest of the traveling public, and
WHEREAS, the construction of WIS 26 Expressway Expansion includes changes and
additions to the local road system within the City of Janesville, and
WHEREAS, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation will retain ownership of all
overpass structures of WIS 26 under this construction project;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Janesville agrees to maintenance and
jurisdiction responsibility of the segments of roadway, upon the completion of
construction and it being open to the traveling public described as follows:
1. Fox Hills Court (NJ1) from a point at the intersection with Fox Hills Drive,
thence westerly 0.04 miles. This section of roadway is approximately 0.04 miles
in length.
2. Frontage Road (NJ2) from a point at intersection with existing CTH Y (John
Paul Road), thence northeasterly 0.30 miles. This section of roadway is
approximately 0.30 miles in length.
3. Frontage Road (NJ3) from a point at the intersection of Woodcrest Drive,
thence southwesterly 0.10 miles. This section of roadway is approximately 0.10
miles in length.
4. Lexus Lane Extension (NJ4) from a point at the intersection with Wright Road,
thence southerly 0.11 miles. This section of roadway is approximately 0.11 miles
in length.
5. Wright Road Extension (NJ5) from a point at the intersection with WIS 26,
thence southerly 0.18 miles. This section of roadway is approximately 0.18 miles
in length.
6. Wright Road realignment (NJ6) from a point at the intersection with WIS 26,
thence northerly 0.15 miles. This section of roadway is approximately 0.15 miles
in length.

7. Existing Wright Road renaming (EJ1) from a point 195 feet north of the
intersection with WIS 26 and the City corporate limits, thence continuing
northwesterly 0.11 miles to a point at the intersection of existing Wright Road.
This section of road will be renamed and will not change the length of roadways
in the City.
