A Resolution to adopt an updated drug and alcohol testing policy for City of Janesville Safety- Sensitive Employees.
RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JANESVILLE, WI
and the
WHEREAS, the City of Janesville is required by the Federal Highway f the UdS 1Department (FHWA)
Federal Transit Administration (FTA) — co -equal modal administrations of
Trans ortation -- to implement a Drug and Alcohol Testing Program for "Safety- Sensitive Employees" as a
p
condition of receiving federal financial assistance; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Janesville's Drug and Alcohol Testing Poli FHWAe and,
recently updated to
be in compliance with the audited current requirements of the FTA an d the
WHEREAS, the FTA and the FHWA each further require that the it board esville's policy

of the Janesville Transit System (JTS); and,
WHEREAS, the City of Janesville and JTS Drug and Alcohol lT FTA and the FHWA as a result of their
August 12, 2012, audit o

WHEREAS, the Common Council find that approving said updated and revised Policies is in the best
interest of, and of benefit, to the City, its residents, taxpayers, and businesses.

as the City of Janesville Drug and Alcohol Testing Program Policy For Safety- Sensitive Employees, effective
