2012-941 RESOLUTION NO. 2012 -941
Whereas, Billy Joe McAfee is retiring from City of Janesville employment
after having diligently served the people of the City of Janesville and the community for
twenty -nine years; retiring as a Captain with the City of Janesville Fire Department; and
Whereas, throughout his career, Billy Joe McAfee sought to further his
level of proficiency by attending numerous training opportunities, readily sharing his
expertise as an instructor for the betterment of the department; and
Whereas, Billy Joe McAfee effectively and efficiently directed the
purchase and maintenance of department fire and rescue equipment; and
Whereas, during Billy Joe McAfee's employment with the City of
Janesville, he received numerous commendations, including Firefighter of the Year;
providing exemplary professional service and demonstrating dedication, determination,
and passion toward his profession; and
Whereas, it is desired that such commendable service to the City of
Janesville be properly recognized;
Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved that the people of the City of Janesville,
through the City Council, do express their grateful appreciation to Billy Joe McAfee for
his twenty -nine years of loyal public service.
