ORDINANCE NO. 2002-120
An ordinance changing the zoning classification of property adjoining and east of 2533
Center Avenue from R1, Single and Two-Family Residence District, to B2, Community
Shopping District with a penalty and injunctive relief for a violation thereof as set forth in
Section 18.28.010 of the Code of General Ordinances of the City of Janesville.
THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JANESVILLE DO ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The zoning classification of the following described property is hereby changed
from R1 to B2:
That part of land in Section 12, T.2N., T.12E., being in the Town of Rock, Rock County,
Wisconsin, described as follows:
Commencing at the Southwest comer of said Section 12 and running thence North along the
West line of said Section 12 at a distance of 20 rods; thence running East and parallel with the
South line of said Section a distance of 16 rods to the point of beginning; thence continuing East
and parallel with the south line of said Section 264.0 feet; thence running South and parallel with
the West line of said Section a distance of 20 rods to the South line of said Section; thence West
along the South line of said Section 264.0 feet; thence North and parallel to the West line of said
Section 330 feet to point of begirming. All now being in the City of Janesville, Rock County,
Wisconsin.
SECTION II: This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon adoption by the Common
Council, the public health, welfare, peace, tranquility, good order, public benefit, and police
power so requiring.
