2012-870 RESOLUTION NO. 2012 -870
Whereas, Douglas L. Miland is retiring from City of Janesville employment
after having diligently served the people of the City of Janesville and the community for
thirty -two years; retiring as a Lieutenant with the City of Janesville Fire Department; a nd
Whereas, Douglas L. Miland has trained and certified numerous fire
department apparatus operators and is known and respected for his expertise and
meticulous care of fire equipment and facilities; and
Whereas, during Douglas L. Miland's employment with the City of
Janesville, he provided exemplary professional service and demonstrated conscient ous
devotion to the duties of his position, which he performed with skill and ability, sincerity,
honesty, and dedication; and
Whereas, it is desired that such commendable service to the Cit/ of
Janesville be properly recognized;
Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved that the people of the City of Janesville,
through the City Council, do express their grateful appreciation to Douglas L. Milan 1 for
his thirty -two years of loyal public service.
