Special meeting of the City Council of the City of Janesville held in the Municipal Building on March 26,
2012. The meeting was called to order by Council President Steeber at 6:30 PM.
Present: Council President Steeber and Councilmembers Liebert, Rashkin, and Voskuil. Absent:
Councilmembers Dongarra-Adams and McDonald.
Councilmember Rashkin moved to convene into closed session, pursuant to Wisconsin Statute Section
19.85 (1) (g) for the purpose of deliberating and conferring with legal counsel concerning litigation in which
the City is likely to become involved relating to the claims for excessive assessment of William H. Hesser,
Jr. for 2009 Milton Avenue, Hesser Revocable Trust for 2436 Oak Brook Court, Hesser Real Estate
Holdings LLC for 1811 Humes Road, Grand Valley Hospitality LLC for 2400 Fulton Street, Janesville
Exchange Project for 1106 Humes Road, Sears Holdings Corporation for 2500 Milton Avenue, and Target
Corporation for 2017 Humes Road. The motion was seconded by Councilmember Voskuil and passed
unanimiously.
There being no further business, Council convened into closed session at 6:32 p.m.
