RESOLUTION NO. 2001-198
A Resolution establishing the Amended Relocation Order for the relocation and acquisition of right-of-way on
Beloit Avenue, South Jackson Street, and an unnamed new street.
WHEREAS, to properly establish, layout, widen, enlarge, extend, construct, reconstruct, improve, or maintain a
portion of the highway hereinafter described, it is necessary to relocate or change and acquire certain lands or
interests in lands, as shown on the attached plat marked Plat of Right-of-Way required for Janesville Transportation
Improvements, Jatco Drive to Avalon Road, Rock County, Project I.D. 5990-03-52, as approved by the Wisconsin
Department of Transportation.
WHEREAS, the City of Janesville, together with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, has studied several
alternative routes.
WHEREAS, the City of Janesville selected a route and the Wisconsin Department of Transportation approved the
funding to design and build this transportation infi'astmcmre.
WHEREAS, the termini of the Janesville Transportation Improvements project is more particularly described as
follows:
Beginning at a point 0.03 feet south of and 13.41 feet west of the West ¼ comer of
Section 13, T2N, R12E; thence north to a point ending and described as 1001.48 feet
north of and 1001.52 feet east of the South ¼ comer of Section 1, T2N, R12E.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Janesville, pursuant to authority
granted under Section 62.22, Wisconsin Statutes, hereby authorizes this Relocation Order and directs the City
Manager to file a copy of this Resolution with the County Clerk of Rock County, Wisconsin on behalf of the City.
1.) The said highway is laid out and established to the lines and widths as shown on the plat;
2.) The required lands or interests in lands as shown on the plat shall be acquired by the City of Janesville; and
3.) This order supersedes and amends any previous order issued by the City of Janesville, Wisconsin.
