98-1204ORDINANCE NO. 98-1204 An Ordinance repealing and recreating the temporary surcharge ordinance by reducing the fee assessed to certain wastes originating outside the Janesville city limits that are deposited in the Rock County/City of Janesville Sanitary Landfill. THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JANESVILLE DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. Subsection 8.64.150 H of the Code of General Ordinances of the City of Janesville is hereby repealed in its entirety and recreated to read as follows: "8.64.150 Fee Schedule. H. For all wastes originating outside the City, excluding special wastes and wastes used as daily cover, a temporary surcharge is added to the fees in the above Sub- Paragraph A of two dollars ($2.00) per ton. The surcharge will be removed when the City recovers Superfund cleanup costs associated with waste originating outside the City limits. However, the following minimum additional fees must be paid regardless of the weight deposited: 1. Passenger cars, twenty five cents ($.25); 2. Station wagons, fifty cents ($.50); 3. Vans, mid-size pickup trucks and trailers with capacity of two cubic yeards or less, seventy five cents ($.75); 4. Full size pickup trucks and trailers with a capacity of more than two cubic years, one dollar ($1.00); 5. All other vehicles and trailers, including those which have been modified to increase the capacity beyond standard capacity, two dollars ($2.00); 6. The minimum fee must be paid unless the weight of the load is determined to result in a high fee, in which case the higher fee must be paid.: SECTION II.
