An ordinance changing the zoning classification of property located within the 1200-1300 block of Joliet
Street from R3 (General Residence) District and B3 (General Commercial) District to R1 (Single and
Two-Family Residence) District.
THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JANESVILLE DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The zoning classification of the following described property is hereby changed from B3 (General
Commercial) District to R1 (Single and Two-Family Residence) District.
Part of the northeast 1/4 of the northeast 1/4 of Section 11, T.2N., R. 12.E of the 4th P.M., Rock County,
Wisconsin described as follows:
Commencing at the northeast corner of Section 11, thence northwesterly along the north line of the
northeast 1/4 of said Section 543.00 feet more or less to the centerline of South Washington Street; also
being the place of beginning for the land herein described; thence south along the centerline of South
Washington Street 169.00 feet more or less to the south terminus of said street; thence southeasterly and
parallel to the north line of said Section 135.00 feet more or less; thence north and parallel to the east line
of South Washington Street approximately 167.00 feet to the north line of said Section; thence
northwesterly along the north line of said Section 135.00 feet more or less to the place of beginning.
SECTION II. The zoning classification of the following described property is hereby changed from R3 (General
Residence) District to R1 (Single and Two-Family Residence) District.
Part of the northeast 1/4 of the northeast 1/4 of Section 11, T.2N., R. 12.E. of the 4th P.M., Rock County,
Wisconsin described as follows:
Commencing at the northeast comer of Section 11; thence northwesterly along the north line of the
northeast 1/4 of said Section 1186.77 feet; also being the place of beginning for the land herein
described; thence south 182.91 feet to the southwest comer of Lot One of a Certified Survey Map
Document Number 1271652 as recorded in Volume 18, Pages 361 - 363 of Certified Survey Maps of
Rock County, Wisconsin; thence southeasterly 644.00 feet more or less to the centerline of South
Washington Street; thence north along said centerline 170.00 feet more or less to the north line of said
Section; thence northwesterly 643.00 feet more or less to the place of beginning
