An ordinsnce changing the zoning classification of property located within the 3700-3800
blocks of East Rotamer Road from R1 (Single and Two-Family Residence) District and
Agriculture to R3 (General Residence) District.
THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JANESVILLE DO ORDA1N AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION I.
The zoning classification of the following described property is hereby changed from R1 and
Agriculture to R3:
PART OF THE NW. 1/4 OF SECTION 16, T.3N, R. 13E. OF THE 4TH P.M., CITY OF
JANESVILLE, ROCK COUNTY, WISCONSIN, DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS: Commencing at
the NW. comer of said Section 16; thence Easterly along the North line of the NW. 1/4 of said
Section, 560 feet; thence Southerly parallel with the West line of said NW. 1/4 of said Section, 33
feet; thence Easterly along a line parallel with and 33 feet South for said North line, 1421 feet,
more or less to the East line of the West 1/2 of the NE. 1/4 of said NW. 1/4 of said Section; thence
Southerly along said East line, 425 feet; thence Westerly, 110 feet to the place of beginning for
the land to be herein described; thence Southerly parallel with said East line, 75 feet; thence
Westerly 20 feet; thence Southerly parallel with said East line, 400 feet; thence Westerly, 340 feet;
thence Northerly 84 feet; thence Westerly 310 feet; thence Northerly 709 feet, thence Easterly
parallel with said North line, 670 feet; thence Southerly parallel with said East line, 318 feet to the
place of beginning Containing 11.4 acres, more or less.
SECTION II. The rezoning of the property described in the above section to R3 is subject to a
condition that any development on the land shall occur under the Planned Unit Development
regulations of the Zoning Ordinance.
SECTION IlI. The rezoning of the property described in Section II shall be limited to a total of
200 residential dwelling units.
