An ordinance amending provisions of the zoning ordinance relating to the distance
requirements of Community Living Arrangements within residential zone districts, with
penalties for violations thereof together with the costs of prosecutions in the manner
mandated by and set forth in Chapter 18.28 of the Code of General Ordinances of the City
of Janesviile.
THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JANESVILLE DO ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. Section 18.36.020(B)(1)(a)(vii)(II) of the Code of General Ordinances is hereby
amended to read as follows:
"II. Those which do not provide housing and supportive services for residents with a
disability or handicap, including but not limited to housing for parolees or juveniles who are not
disabled, shall be located no closer than two thousand five hundred feet from another community
living arrangement or adult family home."
SECTION II. Section 18.36.020(B)(1)(b)(iii)(II) of the Code of General Ordinances is hereby
amended to read as follows:
"II. Those which do not provide housing and supportive services for residents with a
disability or handicap, including but not limited to housing for parolees or juveniles who are not
disabled, shall be located no closer than two thousand five hundred feet from another community
living arrangement or adult family home."
SECTION III. Section 18.36.020(B)(4)(a)(iv)(II) of the Code of General Ordinances is hereby
amended to read as follows:
"II. Those which do not provide housing and supportive services for residents with a
disability or handicap, including but not limited to housing for parolees or juveniles who are not
disabled, shall be located no closer than two thousand five hundred feet from another community
living arrangement or adult family home."
SECTION IV. Section 18.36.020(B)(4)(b)(ii)(II) of the Code of General Ordinances is hereby
amended to read as follows:
"II. Those which do not provide housing and supportive services for residents with a
disability or handicap, including but not limited to housing for parolees or juveniles who are not
disabled, shall be located no closer than two thousand five hundred feet from another community
living arrangement or adult family home."
SECTION V. Section 18.36.030(B)(1)(b)(xvii)(II) of the Code of General Ordinances is hereby
amended to read as follows:
"II. Those which do not provide housing and supportive services for residents with a
disability or handicap, including but not limited to housing for parolees or juveniles who are not
disabled, shall be located no closer than two thousand five hundred feet from another community
living arrangement or adult family home."
SECTION VI. Section 18,.36.030(B)(1)(c)(iii)(II) of the Code of General Ordinances is hereby
amended to read as follows:
'II. Those which do not provide housing and supportive services for residents with a
disability or handicap, including but not limited to housing for parolees or juveniles who are not
disabled, shall be located no closer than two thousand five hundred feet from another community
living arrangement or adult family home.'
