An ordinance annexing territory in Section 16, T.3N., R. I3E. of the 4th P.M., Town of Harmony,
Rock County, Wisconsin.
WHEREAS, a petition signed by the owner of all the laud within such territory proposed to be
annexed has been filed with the City Clerk; and
WHEREAS, them are 5 electors residing in the territory; and
WHEREAS, the necessary notices have been duly prepared, provided and served as required by law
to all persons affected; and
WHEREAS, this ordinance does not contain temporary zoning; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Administration has not found the proposed anuexation to be against
the public interest; and
WHEREAS, the Common Council has determined that this annexation is in the public interest.
NOW THEREFORE THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JANESVILLE DO ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The territory described as follows is hereby annexed to the City of Janesville.
PART OF THE NE 1/4 OF THE NE 1/4 OF SECTION 17 AND PART OF THE NW 1/4 OF
THE NW 1/4 OF SECTION 16, ALL IN T.3N., R.13E., OF THE 4TH P.M., HARMONY
TOWNSHIP, ROCK COUNTY, WISCONSIN.
DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS: Commencing at the NE corner of Section 17; thence southerly
along the East line of said Section 17, a distance of 33 feet to the South right-of-way line of
East Rotamer Road also being the point of beginning for the land herein described; thence
Westerly along the south right-of-way line of East Rotamer Road 67 feet more or less to the
northeast corner of an existing parcel; thence South 01°36'11" West, a distance of 432.01
feet; thence South 88o21'59" East, a distance of 87.12 feet to a point along the East line of
said Section 17; thence North 00°58'44" West along said East line, a distance of 29.86 feet;
thence South 88°32'44" East, a distance of 300 feet; thence North 00°58'44" West, a distance
of 235.6 feet; thence South 88°32'17'' East, a distance of 260 feet; thence North 00°58'44"
West, a distance of 167.01 feet to a point along the south right-of-way line of East Rotamer
Road; thence North 88°31'28" West along the south right-of-way line of East Rotamer Road,
a distance of 560 feet more or less to the Point of Beginning. Containing 4.3l Acres, more
or less.
SECTION II. After this annexation becomes effective, the above described property shall be exempt
from and not subject to further taxation and assessments in the Town of Harmony and thence forth
shall be subject to taxation and assessment as part of the City of Janesville for any and all purpose
provided by law.
SECTION IH. All the territory annexed by this ordinance is hereby made part of Ward 17 of the City
of Janesville.
SECTION IV. There are 7 residents in the area proposed for annexation.
SECTION V. The annexation area is within the Milton School District.

DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS: Commencing at the NE. Corner of Section 17; thence
Southerly along the East line of said NE. 1/4, a distance of 33 feet to the South right-of-
way line ofE. Rotamer Road, also being the place of beginning for the land herein
described; thence Westerly along the South right-of-way line ofE. Rotamer Road, 65.75
feet more or less to the existing city limits, thence Southerly along said city limits also
being the East line of an existing parcel, 468 feet; thence Easterly 87 feet more or less to
the East line of said NE. 1/4; thence Northerly 33 feet more or less along said line to the
South line of existing tracts; thence Easterly along said South line 300 feet; thence
Northerly along the East line of an existing tract, 235.6 feet; thence Easterly 260 feet;
thence Northerly, 117 feet to a line that is parallel with and 33 feet South from the North
line of the NW. 1/4 of Section 16; thence Westerly along said line 560 feet, more or less
to the place of beginning.
