An ordinance changing the zoning classification of property located at 2429 Center
Avenue from B2, Community Shopping District to R1, Single-Family and Two-Family
Residence District, with a penalty and injunctive relief for a violation thereof as set forth
in Section 18.28.010 of the Code of General Ordinances of the City of Janesville.
THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JANESVILLE DO ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The zoning classification of the following described property is hereby changed
from B2, Community Shopping District to R1, Single-Family and Two-Family Residence
District:
Part of the SW 1/4 of Section 12, T. 2 N., R. 12 E., of the 4t~ P.M., City of Janesville, Rock
County, Wisconsin, described as follows;
Commencing at a point in the west line of said Section 12, which point is 30 rods north of the
southwest corner of said Section and the place of beginning for the land herein described;
thence north along the west line of said Section a distance of 10 rods; thence east and parallel
with the south line of said Section a distance of 16 rods; thence south and parallel with the
west line of said Section a distance of 10 rods; thence west and parallel with the south line of
said Section a distance of 16 rods to the place of beginning; excepting therefrom land
conveyed for highway purposes.
SECTION II: This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon adoption by the Common
Council, the public health, welfare, peace, tranquility, good order, public benefit, and police
power so requiring.
