An ordinance annexing territory in Section 4, T.2N., R.13E. of the 4th P.M., Town of
LaPrairie, Rock County, Wisconsin.
WHEREAS, a petition signed by all the owners of all the land within such territory proposed to be
annexed has been fried with the City Clerk; and
WI-IEREAS, there are no electors residing in the territory; and
WHEREAS, the necessary notices have been duly prepared, provided and served as required by
law to all persons affected; and
WHEREAS, this ordinance does not contain temporary zoning; and
WltEREAS, the Department of Administration has not found the proposed annexation to be
against the public interest; and
WHEREAS, the Common Council has determined that this annexation is in the public interest.
NOW THEREFORE THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JANESVILLE DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The territory described as follows is hereby annexed to the City of Janesville.
Part of the North '/2 of the NW.1/4 of Section 4, T.2N., R. 13E. of the 4th P.M., LaPrairie
Township, Rock County, Wisconsin, described as follows:
Commencing at the North ¼ comer of said Section 4; thence S.0°25'23"E. 33.0 feet to the old
South right-of-way line of STH 11; thence N.89°21 '09"W. along said South line, 60.0 feet to the
West line of Wuthering Hills Drive, also being the place of beginning; thence S.0°25'23"E.
along the West line, 443.12 feet; thence N.89°25'58"W. 212.12 feet; thence S.34°28'50"W.
73.13 feet; thence N.89°39'55"W. 2105.25 feet to the existing city limit line; thence
N.0°23'06"W. along said city limit line, 515.66 feet to said old South right-of-way line; thence
S.89°21'09"E. along said old South right-of-way line, 2359.0 feet to the place of beginning.
Containing 27.25 acres.
SECTION H. After this annexation becomes effective, the above described property shall be
exempt from and not subject to further taxation and assessments in the Town of LaPrairie and
thence forth shall be subject to taxation and assessment as part of the City of Janesville for any and
all purpose provided by law.
SECTION HI. All the territory annexed by this ordinance is hereby made part of Ward 35 of the
City of Janesville.
SECTION IV. There are no residents in the area proposed for annexation.

SECTION V. The annexation area is within the Janesville School District.
SECTION VI. This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon adoption by the Common
Council, the public health, welfare, peace, tranquility, good order, public benefit, and police
power so requiring.
