2000-48ORDINANCE NO. 2000 - 48
An ordinance clarifying by amendment that the applicable portion of annual room taxes
collected by the City shall be paid to the Janesville Area Visitors & Convention Bureau (JA VCB) from
time to time during the year, with the penalties for violations thereof as set forth in Chapter 3.20.
THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JANESVILLE DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION L Section 3.20.130 (A) 1. of the Code of General Ordinances of the City of Janesville is hereby
amended to read as follows:
"3.20.130 Expenditure of Room Tax Revenues Collected. (A) In accordance with Section 66.75
(lm)(d) 2. of the Wisconsin Statutes, as from time to time amended or renumbered, the room taxes collected by
the City shall be annually allocated and spent for tourism promotion and development, and the balance retained
by the City, as follows:
The City shall make annual payments from time to time during the gear of the revenue produced
from a three percent (3%) room tax rate directly to the Janesville Area Visitors and Convention
Bureau (JAVCB).
SECTION II. The provisions of this ordinance shall take effect immediately upon adoption, the public
good and financial order so requiting.
