A special meeting of the City Council of the City of Janesville held in the Municipal Building
on October 30, 2007.
The meeting was called to order by Council President Brunner 6:00 p.m.
Present: Council President Brunner, Councilmembers DeGarmo (arrived 7:35), Loasching,
Steeber, Truman, Wellnitz (arrived 6:05 p.m.) and Williams.
The City Council continued their review of the proposed 2008 City budget which included:
Police, Fire, Public Works, Storm Water Utility, Wastewater Utility, Water Utility, Industrial
Waste, Sanitation Fund, and Vehicle Operation and Maintenance. During the review of
the budgets, the City Council asked various questions. Councilmember Williams
requested information on why the curb height on Atwood Avenue is so low.
Councilmember Steeber requested information concerning the traffic changes made at the
intersection of Milton Avenue and Kettering Street.
A proposed ordinance increasing disposal fees at the City’s Sanitary Landfill was
introduced and scheduled for public hearing on November 12, 2007.
Matters not on the Agenda. There were none.
There being no further business, Council adjourned at 7:54 p.m.
