RESOLUTION NO. 2007-449
A Resolution Establishing the Relocation Order for the Acquisition of Right-of-
Way on East Rotamer Road.
WHEREAS, to properly establish, layout, widen, construct reconstruct, improve, or
maintain a portion of the highway hereinafter described, it is necessary to acquire certain
lands or interests in lands, as shown on the attached plat marked Plat of Right-of-Way
required for East Rotamer Road, City of Janesvilie, Rock County, Project 1.0. 5990-00-
01 as approved by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation; and
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Janesvilie, together with the Wisconsin
Department of Transportation, recognizes the need to improve a 0.7 mile stretch of East
Rotamer Road between Wright Road and Harmony Town Hali Road to provide for
increasing vehicular traffic volumes and turning movements, and to improve pedestrian
and vehicular traffic safety; and
WHEREAS, the City of Janesvilie shali acquire certain lands and interests therein as
shown on the attached plat marked Plat of Right-of-Way as provided by Chapter 32,
Wisconsin State Statues; and
WHEREAS, the termini of the East Rotamer Road improvement project are more
particularly described as foliows:
Beginning at a point 27.36' north of and 1076.93' west of the south quarter corner
of Section 9, T-3-N, R13E; thence easterly 0.699 miles to a point 0.74' north of
and 30.10' west of the southeast corner of section 9, T-3-N, R 13E.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of
Janesvilie, pursuant to authority granted under Section 62.22, and other applicable
Wisconsin Statutes, hereby authorizes this Relocation Order and directs the City
Manager to file a copy of this Resolution with the County Clerk of Rock County,
Wisconsin on behalf of the City.
1. The said roadway is laid out and established to the lines and widths as shown on the
plat;
2. The required lands or interests in lands as shown on the plat shall be acquired by the
City of Janesvilie; and
3. This order supersedes and amends any previous order issued by the City of
Janesvilie, Wisconsin.
