ORDINANCE NO. 2007-383
An ordinance annexing territory in Section 28 in T.3N., R.12E. of the 4th P.M., Town of Janesville,
Rock County, Wisconsin.
WHEREAS, a petition signed by the owner of the land within such territory proposed to be annexed has
been filed with the City Clerk; and
WHEREAS, there are no electors residing in the territory; and
WHEREAS, the necessary notices have been duly prepared, provided and served as required by law to
all persons affected; and
WHEREAS, this ordinance does not contain temporary zoning; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Administration has not found the proposed annexation to be against the
public interest; and
WHEREAS, the Common Council has determined that this annexation is in the public interest
NOW THEREFORE THE COMMON COUNCil OF THE CITY OF JANESVlllE DO ORDAIN AS
FOllOWS:
SECTION I. The territory described as follows is hereby annexed to the City of Janesville.
Described as follows: Commencing at the NE. corner of said Section 28; thence S.0011 '24"E. along the
East line of the NE. Y. of said Section, 33.0 feet to the South line of C.T.H. A, also being at the place of
beginning for the land to be herein described; thence continuing S.0011 '24"E. along said East line,
934.74 feet to the NE. corner of a Certified Survey Map as recorded in Volume 2, page 38; thence
S.89048'36"W. 220.0 feet to the NW. corner of said Certified Survey Map; thence S.0011 '24"E. parallel
with said East line, 396.0 feet to the SW. corner of an existing parcel; thence N.89048'26"E. 220.0 feet to
the SE. corner of said parcel; thence S.0011 '24"E. continuing along said East line, 896.67 feet to the NE.
corner of a Certified Survey Map as recorded in Volume 15, pages 273 and 274; thence N.89021'43'W.
220.0 feet to the NW. corner of said Certified Survey Map; thence S.0011 '24"E. parallel with said East
line, 396.0 feet to the SW. corner of said Certified Survey Map; thence N.89021'43"W. 106.90 feet to the
NW. corner of a Certified Survey Map as recorded in Volume 23, pages 301 thru 303; thence
S.0019'26"E. parallel with the East line of the SE. Y. of said Section, 1152.57 feet to the SW. corner of a
Certified Survey Map as recorded in Volume 23, pages 48 thru 51; thence S.89022'28"E. 326.78 feet to
the SE. corner of said Certified Survey Map; thence S.0019'04"E. along said East line of said SE. Y. of
said Section, 180.0 feet to the SE. corner of a Certified Survey Map as recorded in Volume 6, pages 286
and 287; thence N.89022'26'W. 326.76 feet to the SW. corner of said Certified Survey Map; thence
N.0019'26"W. along the West line of said Certified Survey Map, 1.0 feet to the South line of the NE. Y. of
said SE. Y. of said Section; thence N.89021'50'W. along said South line, 997.03 feet to the SW. corner
of said NE. Y. of the SE. Y. of said Section; thence N.0019'35'W. along the West line of said NE. Y. of
said SE. Y. of said Section, 1331.59 feet to the NW. corner of said NE. Y. of the SE. Y. of said Section;
thence N.0015'45'W. along the West line of the East Y:z of said NE. Y. of said Section, 2621.46 feet to
said South line of C.T.H. A; thence S.89026'54"E. along said South line, 1327.27 feet to the place of
beginning. Containing 107.62 acres.
SECTION II. After this annexation becomes effective, the above described property shall be exempt
from and not subject to further taxation and assessments in the Town of Janesville and

thence forth shall be sUbject to taxation and assessment as part of the City of Janesville for any and all
purpose provided by law.
SECTION III. All the territory annexed by this ordinance is hereby made part of Ward 27 of the City of
Janesville.
SECTION IV. There are no residents in the area proposed for annexation.
SECTION V. The annexation area is within the Janesville School District
SECTION VI. This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon adoption by the Common Council, the
public health, welfare, peace, tranquility, good order, public benefit, and police power so requiring.
