Special meeting of the Janesville City Council held in the Municipal Building on September 6,
2007. The meeting was called to order by Council President Brunner at 6:00 p.m.
Present: Council President Brunner, Councilmembers DeGarmo (arrived at 6:19 p.m.),
Loasching, Steeber, Truman, and Williams. Absent: Councilmember Wellnitz.
Review of Sidewalk Program:
City Manager Sheiffer reviewed the sidewalk plan and proposed sidewalk map with the City
Council. The Council asked various questions. Councilmember Steeber moved to place the
sidewalk plan and proposed sidewalk map on a future Council agenda with all streets
designated as either existing sidewalk, planned funded sidewalk, planned unfunded sidewalk or
future unfunded sidewalk. In addition, he requested that the Administration provide the Council
with sidewalk implementation options. The motion was seconded by Councilmember DeGarmo
and passed unanimously.
Review of Industrial Park Sidewalks:
City Manager Sheiffer reviewed the industrial park sidewalk plan. By consensus, the Council
agreed that the industrial park sidewalks should be reviewed with the City sidewalk plan.
Matters not on the agenda. There were none.
There being no further business, Council adjourned 8:16 p.m.
