RESOLUTION NO. 2007 - 429
A resolution authorizing insurance coverage for City buildings and other property through the Wisconsin Local
Government Property Insurance Pund.
Whereas, the City of Janesville, a Wisconsin Municipal Corporation located in the County of Rock, conducting
its principal business at 18 North Jackson Street, Janesville, WI 53545, owns several buildings, structures, other
improvements, personal property and other chattels ("Property"); and
Whereas, the Common Council hereby find that acquiring and maintaining insurance for City Property against
listed risks and peril under the Wisconsin Local Govermnent Property Insurance Fund are each in the best
interest of and benefit to the City of Janesville
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the Common Council ofthe City of Janesville that:
1. All recitals above are incorporated herein by reference as if fully set forth verbatim;
2. On and after the date that this Resolution is adopted, all buildings, structures, improvements and other
Property belonging to the City of Janesville be forthwith insured by and in the Local Government Property
Insurance Fund, under Chapter 605 of the Wisconsin Statutes, and amendments thereto.
3. The City Manager, the City Clerk and/or hislher respective designee(s) from time to time, and at any
time, take all actions necessary, appropriate, convenient and/or desirable to carry out the provisions, and to
effectuate the intent, of this Resolution.
