RESOLUTION NO. 2007-415
Whereas, Nelson A. Smith retired from City of Janesville employment
after having diligently served the people of the City of Janesville and the community for
twenty-four years; performed duties as a Firefighter and Driver in the Fire Department
and retired as a Lieutenant for the Janesville Fire Department; and
Whereas, during Nelson A. Smith's employment with the City of
Janesville, he provided exemplary professional service and demonstrated conscientious
devotion to the duties of his position, which he performed with competence, sincerity,
honesty, and dedication; and
Whereas, it is desired that such commendable service to the City of
Janesville be properly recognized;
Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved that the people of the City of Janesville,
through the City Council, do express their grateful appreciation to Nelson A. Smith for
his twenty-four years of loyal public service.
