RESOLUTION NO. 2007-400
A resolution vacating a portion of Railroad Street, between Walker Street and North Parker
Drive, and a portion of Hyatt Street east of Railroad Street
WHEREAS, these street portions hereinafter designated and previously dedicated for street
purposes are hereby determined to be no longer needed for public use, and therefore, the
public interest requires the vacation of such street portions; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that the traffic flow will not be impeded by the vacation of
such street portions; and
WHEREAS, the public hearing was held on vacation of such street portion and notice required
by Wisconsin Statutes 66.1003 has been timely published and served; and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
JANESVILLE that the following described street portion be and is hereby vacated and
discontinued pursuant to 66.1003 and 62.22(lm), Wisconsin Statutes:
SECTION I. Railroad Street Legal:
Part of Railroad Street, Being part of the SE1/4SW1/4 and the NE1/4SW1/4, Section 25, T3N,
R12E, City of Janesville, Rock County, Wisconsin.
Commencing at the Berntsen Aluminum monument on the South quarter corner of Section 25;
Thence N85016'33'W along the South line of Section 25,1015.04 feet;
Thence N04043'27"E, 1401.55 feet to an iron rod stake on the Northeast corner of Lot 8, Block
1, Pixley and Shaw's Second Addition to Janesville and the South line of Hyatt Street;
Thence N85008'53'W along the North line of Lot 8, Block 1, Pixley and Shaw's Second Addition
to Janesville and the South line of Hyatt Street, 120.22 feet to a PK nail on the Northwest
corner of said Lot 8, the East line of Railroad Street and the Point of Beginning of the following
description;
Thence SOo016'18'W along the East line of Railroad Street and the West line of Lots 7 and 8,
Block 1, Pixley and Shaw's Second Addition to Janesville, 121.17 feet to a cross cut in concrete
on the Southwest corner of said Lot 7;
Thence N85017'17'W along the Easterly line of Railroad Street, 11.01 feet to a P.K. nail and the
beginning of a circular curve concave to the West with a radius of 3,045.00 feet and a central
angle of 03047'44";
Thence Southerly along the arc of the curved East line of Railroad Street, 201.71 feet to an iron
rod stake on the Southeast corner of Railroad Street and the North line of Lot 42, Pixley and
Shaw's Addition to Janesville, which is measured by a chord of 201.67 feet and bears
