RESOLUTION # 2007-389
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ASSIGNMENT OF THE
YOUTH SPORTS COMPLEX LEASE FROM THE UNITED SOCCER CLUB
TO THE ROCK SOCCER CLUB
WHEREAS, the City of Janesville executed a fifteen year lease with the United Soccer Club for
five soccer fields at the Youth Sport Complex; and
WHEREAS, this lease expires on March 31st, 2011; and
WHEREAS, the United Soccer Club and the Rock Futbol Club have merged and become one
new organization under the name of the Rock Soccer Club, Inc.; and
WHEREAS, the Rock Soccer Club wishes to assume the existing lease between the City of
Janesville and the United Soccer Club; and
WHEREAS, it is in the City's best interest to assign the existing lease from the United Soccer
Club to the Rock Soccer Club.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Janesville that
they hereby authorize the assignment of the Youth Sports Complex lease for five soccer fields from the
United Soccer Club to the Rock Soccer Club for the balance of the lease term or March 31st, 2011.
AND, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Manager and/or his designee(s) on behalf of
the City of Janesville, is/are hereby authorized and empowered to negotiate, draft, modify, review,
execute, renew and/or extend this lease and enter into additional agreements, records, file and/or make
minor modifications and/or amendments to any and all documents, papers, forms, and agreements, and
to make whatever other actions as the City Manager may determine, from time to time and at any time,
necessary and/or desirable to effectuate the intent of this resolution and/or lease assignment.
