RESOLUTION NO. 2007-394
A resolution recognizing Thomas J. Brien for his loyal and conscientious service to the City of
Janesville as a City Councilmember.
WHEREAS, Thomas J. Brien has served the City of Janesville from 1991 to 2007 as a
Member of the City Council; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Brien served as Council President in 1992 and 2001, and as Council Vice
President in 1998, 1999, and 2000; and
WHEREAS, during his term of office, Mr. Brien has served as a member of various boards,
committees, and commissions in the City; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Brien's deep concern for the community, its citizens and their welfare has
characterized his tenure in office throughout; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Brien has always performed the duties of a member of the City Council with
an exemplary level of dedication, honesty, and integrity;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Janesville
presents this commendation to Thomas J. Brien in sincere appreciation for his loyal and
conscientious service to the City of Janesville.
