An ordinance changing the zoning classification of property located at 1515 East Racine
Street from R2 and B2 to B3, with a penalty and injunctive relief for a violation thereof
as set forth in Section 18.28.010 of the Code of General Ordinances of the City of
Janesville.
THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JANESVILLE DO ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The zoning classification of the following described property is hereby changed
from R2, Limited General Residence District and B2, Community Shopping District to B3,
General Commercial District.
Part of the NW lA, Section 31, T. 3 N., R. 13 E., of the 4"' P.M., City of Janesville, Rock
County, Wisconsin, described as follows: Commencing at the northeast corner of Lot 15,
Morse & Cunninghams First Addition to the City of Janesville and the point of beginning for
the land herein described; thence south along the east line of said Lot 15 146 feet more or less
to the centerline of East Racine Street; thence west along said centerline 136 feel more or less
to its intersection with the centerline of S Freemont Street; thence north along said centerline
143 feet more or less to its intersection with the north line of aforesaid Lot 15 extended;
thence east along the north line of said Lot 15 139 feet more or less to the northeast comer of
said Lot 15 and the point of beginning.
SECTION II: Rezoning of this property is subject to the condition that screening be provided
along the east, west and north property lines which will consist of a combination of an opaque
fence and landscaping as generally illustrated in the attached concept plan, Exhibit A.
SECTION III: This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon adoption by the Common
Council, the public health, welfare, peace, tranquility, good order, public benefit, and police
power so requiring.
