An ordinance changing the zoning classification of property located at 1940 South Grant
Street, the northeast corner of Grant and Kellogg Avenue, from B2 to R1, with a penalty
and injunctive relief for a violation thereof as set forth in Section 18.28.010 of the Code of
General Ordinances of the City of Janesville.
THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JANESVILLE DO ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The zoning classification of the following described property is hereby changed
from B2, Community Shopping District to RI, Single-family and Two-family Residence
District:
Part of the SE ~A of the NW lA of Section 11, T. 2 N., R. 12 E., of the 4~ P.M., City of
Janesville, Rock County, Wisconsin, described as follows: Commencing at the northeast comer of
Lot 1 of a Certified Survey Map Document Number 1123979 as recorded in Volume 14, Pages
448 - 450 of Certified Survey Maps of Rock County, Wisconsin and the point of beginning for
the land herein described: thence south along the east line of said Lot 1 410 feet more or less to
the center line of Kellogg Avenue; thence west along said centerline of 368 feet more or less to its
intersection with the centerline of South Grant Street; thence north along said centerline 411 feet
more or less to its intersection with the north line of aforesaid Lot 1 projected; thence east along
the north line of said LOt 1 373 feet more or less to the northeast comer of said LOt 1 and the
point of beginning.
SECTION II. This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon adoption by the Common
Council, the public health, welfare, peace, tranquility, good order, public benefit, and police
power so requiring.
