ORGANIZATIONAL MEETING
April 18, 2006

An organizational meeting of the Janesville City Council, held at the Municipal Building on
April 18, 2006, at 6:30 a.m.
The meeting was called to order by City Clerk-Treasurer Jean Ann Wulf. CouncilmemberTom
Wellnitz led the Council in the Pledge of Allegiance.
Present: Councilmembers Addie, Brien, Brunner, DeGarmo, Tim Wellnitz, Tom Wellnitz and
Williams.
ELECTION OF COUNCIL PRESIDENT AND VICE-PRESIDENT:
The City Clerk-Treasurer called for nominations from the floor for City Council President.
Council member DeGarmo moved to nominate Council member Tim Wellnitz as Council
President, seconded by Council member Williams. Council member Addie moved to nominate
Council member Brunner as Council President. Council member Brunner declined the
nomination. Council member Addie moved to nominate Council member Williams as Council
President.
The City Clerk-Treasurer called for any other nominations three times and received no further
nominations. Nominations were closed and Council member Tim Wellnitz was elected
President with 6 votes. Council member Williams received 1 vote.
Council President Tim Wellnitz called for nominations from the floor for City Council Vice-
President. Council member Brien moved to nominate Council member Brunner as Council
Vice-President, seconded by Council member DeGarmo. Council member Tom Wellnitz moved
to nominate Council member Addie as Council Vice-President.
The Council President Tim Wellnitz called for any other nominations three times and received
no further nominations. Nominations were closed and Council member Brunner was elected
Vice-President with 6 votes. Council member Addie received 1 vote.
Council President Tim Wellnitz established the new seating arrangement for the Council
starting at the President's far left: Councilmembers Brien, Tom Wellnitz, Williams and Brunner;
starting from the President's far right: Councilmembers Addie and DeGarmo.
Matters not on the Agenda. There were none.
There being no further business, the Council adjourned at 6:39 a.m.
These minutes are not official until approved by the City Council.
