RESOLUTION NO. 2006-340
A resolution vacating a portion of Morse Street.
WHEREAS, a street portion hereinafter designated and previously dedicated for street
purposes is hereby determined to be no longer needed for public use, and therefore, the
public interest requires the vacation of such street portion; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that the traffic flow will not be impeded by the
vacation of such street portion; and
WHEREAS, the public hearing was held on vacation of such street portion and notice
required by Wisconsin Statutes 66.1003 has been timely published and served; and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF JANESVILLE that the following described street portion be and are hereby vacated
and discontinued pursuant to 66.1003 and 62.22(lm), Wisconsin Statutes:
Part of the NE.1/4 of Section 18, T.3N., R.13E. of the 4th P.M., City of Janesville, Rock
County, Wisconsin described as follows: Commencing at the northeast right-of-way
intersection of Bell Street and Morse Street; thence south 87°48'11" east 233.51 feet to
the place of beginning for the parcel herein described; thence north 74°05'50" east
151.25 feet to a point of curvature; thence 1 03.29 feet along a curve to the right, having
a radius of 60.00 feet and a chord bearing south 56°42'52" east 91.00 feet; thence north
87°48'11" west 221.69 feet to the place of beginning for the parcel herein described.
Said parcel contains 6,528 s.f. of land more or less.
