RESOLUTION NO. 2006-321
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF PROPERTY LOCATED AT 556
SOUTH JACKSON STREET, CITY OF JANESVILLE, ROCK COUNTY, WI TO ROCK
COUNTY HABITAT FOR HUMANITY, INC.
WHEREAS, the property located at 556 South Jackson Street, which is legally
described as follows:
Railroad Addition, Lot 13, City of Janesville, Rock County, Wisconsin.
is owned by the City of Janesville; and
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission at its meeting of June 19, 2006, reviewed the
proposed transfer of this property to Rock County Habitat for Humanity Inc. and found it
consistent with City plans; and
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Janesville does hereby find that the
transfer of this property to Habitat for Humanity is to the benefit of the citizens and
community of Janesville;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Common Council of the City of
Janesville that it hereby authorizes and directs the Administration to proceed with the
transfer of this property to Habitat for Humanity;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Manager has the authority to, from time-to-
time, modify and amend the terms of the transfer as may be necessary or desirable and
to perform according to such modifications or amendments.
