RESOLUTION # 2006 - 278
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A
DONATED HISTORIC CLOCK FOR DOWNTOWN JANESVILLE
FROM THE JANESVILLE MORNING ROTARY
WHEREAS, the Janesville Morning Rotary Club has approached the City of
Janesville with the offer of donating a historic street clock to downtown Janesville at the
south east corner of West Court Street and River Street; and
WHERAS, the Janesville Morning Rotary Club wishes to provide this donation in
celebration of the centennial year of Rotary International; and
WHEREAS, this clock donation is determined to be in the best interest of the City
of Janesville.
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED By the Common Council of the
City of Janesville, on the 10th day of April, that the City accept the donation of a
historic Clock from the Janesville Morning Rotary for the south east corner of West
Court Street and River Street; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Common Council that all Janesville
Citizens are called upon to especially thank and appreciate the Janesville Morning
Rotary Club for their historic clock donation and their community service to Janesville.
