ORDINANCE NO. 2005-303
An ordinance annexing territory in Section 11 and 14, T.3N., R.12E. of the 4th P.M.,
Town of Janesville, Rock County, Wisconsin.
WHEREAS, a petition signed by all the owners of all the land within such territory proposed
to be annexed has been filed with the City Clerk; and
WHEREAS, there are no electors residing in the territory; and
WHEREAS, the necessary notices have been duly prepared, provided and served as
required by law to all persons affected; and
WHEREAS, this ordinance does not contain temporary zoning; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Administration has not found the proposed annexation to be
against the public interest; and
WHEREAS, the Common Council has determined that this annexation is in the public
interest.
NOW THEREFORE THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JANESVILLE DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The territory described as follows is hereby annexed to the City of Janesville.
PART OF THE SOUTHEAST 1,4 OF SECTION 11 AND NORTHWEST QUARTER OF
SECTION 14, T.3N., R.12E. OF THE FOURTH P.M., TOWN OF JANESVILLE, ROCK
COUNTY, WISCONSIN.
Described as follows: Commencing at the Southeast corner of Section 11 aforesaid; thence
South 89°18'00" West along the South line of said Section to a distance of 1104.14 feet to
the Point of Beginning; thence South 0°02'00" West 79.92 feet; thence North 89°25'50"
West 44.05 feet; thence South 0°00'50" West 47.53 feet; thence North 89°59'20" West
261.00 feet; thence North 0°00'49" East 189.58 feet; thence North 88°22'40" East 26.02
feet; thence South 89°58'00" East 179.06 feet; thence North 0°00'00" East 456.76 feet;
thence North 89°44'00" East 365.09 feet; thence South 0°00'00" East 408.84 feet; thence
South 89°58'00" East 34.00 feet; thence South 0°00'00" East 49.84 feet; thence North
89°58'00" West 299.06 feet; thence South 0°02'00" West 63.19 feet to the Point of
Beginning. Containing 5.16 acres, more or less.
SECTION II. After this annexation becomes effective, the above described property shall
be exempt from and not subject to further taxation and assessments in the Town of
Janesville and thence forth shall be subject to taxation and assessment as part of the City
of Janesville for any and all purpose provided by law.
SECTION III. All the territory annexed by this ordinance is hereby made part of Ward 310f
the City of Janesville.
SECTION IV. There are no residents in the area proposed for annexation.
SECTION V. The annexation area is within the Milton School District.

SECTION VI. This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon adoption by the Common
Council, the public health, welfare, peace, tranquility, good order, public benefit, and police
power so requiring.
