An ordinance annexing territory in Section 16, T.3N., R.13E. of the 4th P.M., Town of Harmony,
Rock County, Wisconsin.
WHEREAS, a petition signed by all the owners and electors of real property within such territory
proposed to be annexed has been filed with the City Clerk; and
WHEREAS, there are two electors residing in the territory proposed for annexation; and
WHEREAS, the necessary notices have been duly prepared, provided and served as required by law to
all persons affected; and
WHEREAS, this ordinance does not contain temporary zoning; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Administration has not found the proposed annexation to be against
the public interest; and
WHEREAS, the Common Council has determined that this annexation is in the public interest.
NOW THEREFORE THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JANES¥ILLE DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The territory described as follows is hereby annexed to the City of Janesville.
Part of the NE.l/4 of the NW.1/4 of Section 16, T.3N., R.13E. of the 4th P.M., Harmony Township,
Rock County, Wisconsin, described as follows:
Commencing at the North 1/4 comer of said Section 16; thence S. 0° 03' 15" W. along the North-
South centerline of said Section, 33.02 feet to the place of begiuning for the land to be herein
described: thence continuing S. 0° 03' 15" W. along said line 1285.92 feet to the SE. comer of the
NE. 1/4 of the NW. 1/4 of said Section; thence N. 87° 36' 10" W. along the South line of said NE. 1/4
of said NW. 1/4 of said Section, 659.94 feet to the SW. comer of the East 1/2 of said NE. 1/4 of said
NW. 1/4 of said Section; thence N. 0° 02' 20" E. along the West line of said East 1/2 of said NE. 1/4
of said NW. 1/4 of said Section, 1055.20 feet; thence S. 87° 34' 50" E. parallel with the North line of
said NW. 1/4 of said Section, 360.22 feet; thence N. 0° 03' 15"E. parallel with said North-South
centerline, 230.98 feet to the South 33' R.O.W. (right-of-way) line of East Rotamer Road; thence S.
87° 34' 50" E. along said R.O.W. line, 300.0 feet to the place of begiuning. Containing 17.6 acres,
more or less.
SECTION II. After this annexation becomes effective, the above described property shall be exempt
from and not subject to further taxation and assessments in the Town of Harmony and thence forth
shall be subject to taxation and assessment as part of the City of Janesville for any and all purpose
provided by law.

SECTION III. All the territory annexed by this ordinance is hereby made part of Ward 17 of the City
of Janesville.
SECTION IV. There are two residents in the area proposed for annexation.
SECTION V. The annexation area is within the Milton School District.
SECTION VI. This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon adoption by the Common Council,
the public health, welfare, peace, tranquility, good order, public benefit, and police power so requiring.
