ORDINANCE NO. 2005-302
An ordinance prohibiting commercial trash and recycling hauling noise between 9:00
o'clock P.M. and 6:00 o'clock A.M. daily in residential districts, with penalties for
violations thereof as set forth in JGO 8.64.250.
THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JANESVILLE DO ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. Section 8.64. 210 D. of the Code of General Ordinances of the City of
J anesville is hereby created to read as follows:
"D. Public and private trash and recyclable collection and hauling may only occur
between 6:00 o'clock A.M. and 9:00 o'clock P.M. in residentially zoned districts (Rl,
RID, R2, R3M, R3, R4) within the City."
SECTION II. This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon adoption by the
Common Council, the public health, welfare, peace, tranquility, good order, public
benefit, and police power so requiring."
