Minutes 12-20-01.docPROCEEDINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL CITY OF JANESVILLE, WISCONSIN REGULAR MEETING December 20, 2001 VOL. 52 NO. 26 Approved January 14, 2002 Regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Janesville held in the Municipal Building on December 20, 2001. The meeting was called to order by Council President Brien at 5:00 p.m. Councilmember Murphy led the Council in the Pledge of Allegiance. Present: Council President Brien, Councilmembers Damron, Williams, DeGarmo, Murphy and Steeber (arrived at 5:13 p.m.). Absent: Councilmember O'Leary. CONSENT AGENDA Minutes of the regular meeting of December 10, 2001. Licenses; and Recommendations of the Alcohol License Advisory Committee. Financial statement for the month of November, 2001. Council President Brien removed licenses from the Consent Agenda and stated that the remainder of the Consent Agenda would be approved if there were no objections. There were none. Councilmember DeGarmo moved to approve an electrician's license for Rodney Sheldon, seconded by Councilmember Damron. The motion passed unanimously. Councilmember Williams moved to deny a taxi cab driver's license for Jeffrey Drost, seconded by Councilmember DeGarmo. The motion passed unanimously. OLD BUSINESS 1. Requests and comments from the public on matters which can be affected by Council action. There were none. NEW BUSINESS 1. A proposed resolution authorizing the purchase of 1405 Riverside Street; accepting monies from the Department of Natural Resources and the Janesville Foundation for said land purchase; and approving a development agreement with Panoramic, Inc. for an 11.7 acre parcel of land in TIF #14. Councilmember Steeber arrived at 5:13 p.m. Councilmember Damron moved to adopt said resolution, seconded by Councilmember Murphy. The motion passed unanimously. (File Res. No. 2001-216). 2. Matters not on the agenda. City Manager Sheiffer presented each Councilmember with a Leisure Services' gift certificate.
