Special meeting of the City Council of the City of Janesville held
in the Municipal Building, November 7, 1994, at 6:30 p.m.
The meeting was called to order by Council President Noll.
Present: Council President Noll, Councilmembers Stehura, Heitzman,
Brien, O'Leary and Schneider° Absent: Councilmember Thomas.
OLD BUSINESS
1. Review of the 1995 Proposed City Budget.
Councilmember Thomas arrived at 6:40 p.m.
The City Council reviewed the Fire, Leisure Services, Recreation,
Aquatics, Senior Citizens, Parks, Lincoln Tallman House, Ice Arena,
Economic Development, Codes, Community Development, and Library
budgets.
During the review of the budgets, Councilmembers requested the
following information: 1) Councilmember Stehura requested the Fire
Department's Vehicle Revolving Fund Schedule that does not include
Class A equipment and information on Leisure Service's concession
operations° 2) Councilmember Brien requested the memo on softball
fees be redistributed to the Council. 3) Councilmember Thomas
requested information on the cost of a warming hut located at Lions
Beach during the ice skating season. 4) Councilmember Heitzman
requested that the debt for the Ice Arena be shown on the program
budget page. 5) Councilmember O'Leary requested information on the
major types of social programs available to low/middle income
citizens.
NEW BUSINESS
1o Matters not on the agenda. Council President Noll scheduled
further review of the library budget on November 7, at the end of
the study session.
There being no further business, the Council adjourned at 9:51 p.m.
