Special meeting of the City Council of the City of Janesville held in the Municipal Building on October
29, 2001.
The meeting was called to order by Council President Brien at 5:04 p.m.
Present: Council President Brien, Councilmembers Damron, Williams, Murphy, DeGarmo arrived
at 5:22 p.m.) Absent: Councilmembers O'Leary and Steeber.
OLD BUSINESS
1. Review of 2002 budgets.
The City Council reviewed the following 2002 budgets: Public Works Administration, Engineering,
Technical Services, Street Maintenance, Public Buildings, Parking Facilities, Traffic Management,
Solid Waste Collection, Solid Waste Disposal, Industrial Waste Disposal, Recycling, Water &
Wastewater Utilities, and VOM budgets. During review of the budgets, the City Council asked various
questions.
NEW BUSINESS
1. Matters not on the Agenda. There were none.
2. Closed session.
Councilmember DeGarmo moved to convene into closed session pursuant to Wisconsin Statute
Section 19.85 (1) (d), for the purpose of considering strategy for crime detection and prevention,
seconded by Councilmember Murphy and passed unanimously.
There being no further business, Council convened into closed session at 7:00 p.m.
