ORGANIZATIONAL MEETING

An organizational meeting of the City Council of the city of
Janesville, held in the Municipal Building 17 April 1990 at 7:30
a.m.
Council President Stockwell called the meeting to order.
Present: Council President Stockwell, Councilmembers Pierson,
Collins, Pulliam, Stehura and Schneider.
Absent: Councilmember McLean.
Election of a president. Councilmember Stehura nominated
Councilmember Collins for the position of Council President,
seconded by Councilmember Pierson and adopted by the following
vote: Aye: Council President Stockwell, Councilmembers Pierson,
Pulliam, Stehura and Schneider. Pass: Councilmember Collins.
Outgoing President Stockwell turned the meeting over to the new
Council President Collins.
Council President Collins established the new seating arrangement
of the Council. Starting at the President's far left Councilmembers
Pierson, McLean, Schneider. Starting from his far right
Councilmembers Pulliam and Stockwell.
Election of a Councilmember to serve on the Plan Commission.
Councilmember Stehura nominated Council President Collins to the
position on the Plan Commission, seconded by Councilmember
Pulliam and approved by the following vote: Aye: Councilmembers
Pierson, Schneider, Stehura, Stockwell and Pulliam. Pass:
Councilmeraber Collins.
Council President Collins announced his appointments to the
Public Works Committee to consist of Council President Collins
and Councilmembers Stockwell and Schneider.
Councilmember Stehura moved to approve Council President Collins'
appointments, seconded by Councilmember Pulliam and approved
unanimously.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at
7:35 a.m.
These minutes are not official until approved by the City
Council.
