SPECIAL MEETING
February 28, 1990
Special meeting of the City Council of the City of Janesville, held
in the Municipal Building February 28, 1990 at 6:15 p.m.
Council President Stockwell called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.
Present: Council President Stockwell, Councilmembe~s Pierson,
stehura, McLean, Pulliam and Schneider.
Councilmember Collins was absent.
NEW BUSINESS
Mr. Sheiffer noted that Councilmember Collins had asked the Council
be informed that he had a conflict of interest, due to the
involvement of his law partner, and would not be participating in
these discussions or meetings.
Councilmember Stehura moved that the City Council convene into
closed session pursuant to Section 19.85(1)(g), Wisconsin Statutes,
for the purpose of conferring with legal counsel for the
governmental body who is rendering oral or written advice concerning
strategy to be adopted by the body with respect to litigation in
which it is or is likely to become involved. The motion was
seconded by Councilmember Schneider and passed unanimously.
Separate closed session minutes will be prepared.
