A resolution recognizing Marian T. Cousin for her employment at the City of
Janesville.
WHEREAS, Marian T. Cousin retired from City of Janesville employment after having
diligently served the people of the City of Janesville and the community for more than
35 years, retiring as an Administrative Assistant in the Water Utilities Division; and
WHEREAS, during Marian T. Cousin’s employment with the City of Janesville, she
provided exemplary professional service and demonstrated conscientious devotion to
the duties of her position, which she performed with integrity, skill, ability, sincerity,
honesty, and dedication; and
WHEREAS, Marian T. Cousin began her employment with the City of Janesville as a
part-time Switchboard Operator in the Clerk Treasurer’s Office in July, 1994; and
WHEREAS, Marian T. Cousin held several positions in different administrative offices
including part-time Switchboard Operator, part-time Clerk Typist I, Secretary 1, and
Administrative Assistant; and
WHEREAS, Marian T. Cousin was recognized as the Public Works Division Employee
of the Year in 1999; and was a member of the Flex-Time and Holiday Party
Committees; and
WHEREAS, it is desired that such commendable service to the City of Janesville be
properly recognized;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the people of the City of Janesville,
through the City Council, do express their grateful appreciation to Marian T. Cousin for
her more than thirty-five years of loyal public service.
