A resolution recognizing Glen R. Hageman for his employment at the City of
Janesville.
WHEREAS, Glen R. Hageman retired from City of Janesville employment after having
diligently served the people of the City of Janesville and the community for 26 years,
retiring as a Police Sergeant with the Police Department; and
WHEREAS, during Glen R. Hageman’s employment with the City of Janesville, he
provided exemplary professional service and demonstrated conscientious devotion to
the duties of his position, which he performed with integrity, skill, ability, sincerity,
honesty, and dedication; and
WHEREAS, Glen R. Hageman began his employment with the City of Janesville as a
Police Officer in April, 2000; and
WHEREAS, in the course of his employment, Glen R. Hageman had a variety of
assignments, including A Shift Patrol, B Shift Patrol, Range Officer, Street Crimes Unit,
K-9 Officer, C Shift Sergeant, and A Shift Sergeant; and
WHEREAS, Glen R. Hageman was awarded Officer of the Year in 2010, Chief’s
Commendation in 2014, Meritorious Service Citation in 2014 and the Award of
Excellence in 2024; he was involved in the K-9 Program, the Portable Radio Program,
Safety Committee, General Order Committee, Patrol Squad Design Committee, and the
Technology Committee; and
WHEREAS, it is desired that such commendable service to the City of Janesville be
properly recognized;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the people of the City of Janesville,
through the City Council, do express their grateful appreciation to Glen R. Hageman for
his more than twenty-six years of loyal public service.
