An ordinance annexing territory located in Section 14, T.3N., R.12E. of the 4th P.M., Town of
Janesville, Rock County, Wisconsin.
WHEREAS, a unanimous consent annexation petition under s. 66.0217(2), Wis. Stats. signed by the
owners of the land within such territory proposed to be annexed has been filed with the City Clerk;
and
WHEREAS, there are no electors residing in the territory; and
WHEREAS, the necessary notices have been duly prepared, provided , and served as required by
law to all persons affected; and
WHEREAS, this ordinance does not contain temporary zoning; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Administration has not found the proposed annexation to be against
the public interest; and
WHEREAS, the Common Council has determined that this annexation is in the public interest.
NOW THEREFORE THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JANESVILLE DO ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The territory described as follows is hereby annexed to the City of Janesville.
PART OF LOT 1 OF CERTIFIED SURVEY MAP AS RECORDED IN VOLUME 8 ON PAGES 511 -
512 AS DOCUMENT NUMBER 913135 OF CERTIFIED SURVEY MAPS OF ROCK COUNTY AND
PART OF LOT 1 OF CERTIFIED SURVEY MAP AS RECORDED IN VOLUME 16 ON PAGES 425 -
427 AS DOCUMENT NUMBER 1207858 OF CERTIFIED SURVEY MAPS OF ROCK COUNTY ALL
BEING SITUATED IN PART OF THE NORTHEAST QUARTER OF THE NORTHEAST QUARTER
OF SECTION 14, T.3N., R.12E,. OF THE 4TH P.M, TOWN OF JANESVILLE, ROCK COUNTY,
WISCONSIN.
FURTHER DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS: COMMENCING AT THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF
SECTION 14, T.3N., R 12E., AFORESAID; THENCE S88°50'45"W A DISTANCE OF 498.04 FEET;
THENCE S01°09'45"E A DISTANCE OF 93.46 FEET TO A POINT WHERE THE SOUTHERN
RIGHT OF WAY LINE OF US HIGHWAY 14 AND THE EAST LINE OF LOT 1 OF CERTIFIED
SURVEY MAP AS RECORDED IN VOLUME 8 ON PAGES 511 -512 AS DOCUMENT NUMBER
913135 AFORESAID MEET, SAID POINT BEING THE PLACE OF BEGINNING FOR THIS
DESCRIPTION; THENCE S01°02'48"E A DISTANCE OF 511.21 FEET TO THE SOUTHEAST
CORNER OF LOT 1 VOLUME 8 AFORESAID, SAID POINT BEING ALSO COMMON WITH A
CORNER OF LOT 1 OF CERTIFIED SURVEY MAP AS RECORDED IN VOLUME 16 ON PAGES
425-427 AS DOCUMENT NUMBER 1207858 AFORESAID; THENCE S01°00'29"E A DISTANCE
OF 521.13 FEET TO THE SOUTH LINE OF LOT 1 VOLUME 16 AFORESAID, SAID LINE BEING
COMMON WITH THE NORTH LINE OF LANDS PLATTED AND DEDICATED WITHIN PINE
RIDGE ESTATES SECOND ADDITION; THENCE S89°14'35"W A DISTANCE OF 717.12 FEET
ALONG SAID DESCRIBED LINE TO A WEST LINE OF LOT 1 VOLUME 16 AFORESAID, SAID

ALONG SAID DESCRIBED LINE; THENCE N89°34'25"E A DISTANCE OF 350.50 FEET TO THE
SOUTHWEST CORNER OF LOT 1 VOLUME 8 AFORESAID; THENCE N00"25'35"W A DISTANCE
OF 513.21 FEET ALONG THE WEST LINE OF LOT 1 VOLUME 8 AFORESAID TO THE
SOUTHERN RIGHT OF WAY LINE OF US HIGHWAY 14; THENCE N8°54'03"E A DISTANCE OF
355.79 FEET ALONG SAID RIGHT OF WAY LINE TO THE PLACE OF BEGINNING. Containing
12.8 acres.
SECTION II. After this annexation becomes effective, the above described property shall be exempt
from and not subject to further taxation and assessments in the Town of Janesville and thence forth
shall be subject to taxation and assessment as part of the City of Janesville for any and all purposes
provided by law.
SECTION III. All the territory annexed by this ordinance is hereby made part of Ward 42 of the City
of Janesville.
SECTION IV. There are no residents in the area proposed for annexation.
SECTION V. The annexation area is within the Janesville School District.
SECTION VI. This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon adoption by the Common Council,
the public health, welfare, peace, tranquility, good order, public benefit, and police power so
requiring.
