A resolution recognizing Carri E. Salus for her employment at the City of
Janesville.
WHEREAS, Carri E. Salus retired from City of Janesville employment after having
diligently served the people of the City of Janesville and the community for 17 years,
retiring as Executive Assistant in the City Manager’s Office; and
WHEREAS, during Carri E. Salus’ employment with the City of Janesville, she provided
exemplary professional service and demonstrated conscientious devotion to the duties
of her position, which she performed with integrity, skill, ability, sincerity, honesty, and
dedication; and
WHEREAS, Carri E. Salus began her employment with the City of Janesville as a part-
time Switchboard Operator/Cashier in the Clerk Treasurer’s Office; and
WHEREAS, Carri E. Salus held several positions in different administrative offices
including Switchboard Operator/Cashier, Customer Service Representative, Property
Assessment Technician, Accounting Clerk, Administrative Assistant and Executive
Assistant; and
WHEREAS, Carri E. Salus was a recipient of the Mighty Oak Award in March, 2023;
she was awarded the Administrative Employee of the Year in 2019; and
WHEREAS, as part of her duties as Executive Assistant, Carri E. Salus was an active
member of numerous Committees including the Administrative Safety Committee, the
Employee Recognition Committee and the Children’s Christmas Party Committee; she
was also involved with coordinating volunteers for Janesville’s annual Bags of Hope
event; and
WHEREAS, it is desired that such commendable service to the City of Janesville be
properly recognized;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the people of the City of Janesville,
through the City Council, do express their grateful appreciation to Carri E. Salus for her
more than seventeen years of loyal public service.
