A resolution recognizing Michael C. Rebman for his employment at the City of
Janesville.
WHEREAS, Michael C. Rebman retired from City of Janesville employment after having
diligently served the people of the City of Janesville and the community for 32 years,
retiring as a Senior Engineering Technician with the Department of Public Works
Engineering Division; and
WHEREAS, during Michael C. Rebman’s employment with the City of Janesville, he
provided exemplary professional service and demonstrated conscientious devotion to
the duties of his position, which he performed with skill, ability, sincerity, honesty, and
dedication; and
WHEREAS, Michael C. Rebman began his employment with the City of Janesville as
an Engineering Technician I in February, 1994; and
WHEREAS, Michael C. Rebman spent his entire employment with the Engineering
Division and held several positions including, Engineering Technician I, Engineering
Technician II, Engineering Technician III, and Senior Engineering Technician; and
WHEREAS, Michael C. Rebman was a recipient of the Mighty Oak Award in
September, 2014; he was awarded the Engineering Employee of the Year in 2000 and
Department of Public Works Employee of the Year in 2024; he was a member of the
Deferred Compensation Committee and was an active member of the Health Advisory
Committee; and
WHEREAS, it is desired that such commendable service to the City of Janesville be
properly recognized;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the people of the City of Janesville,
through the City Council, do express their grateful appreciation to Michael C. Rebman
for his more than thirty-two years of loyal public service.
